I'm Rommel Christian Baes, a 27-year-old computer engineering graduate passionate about both robotics and software systems. During college, Arduino was my go-to tool for creating innovative robotic projects. Two notable ones were an alcohol mixer controlled by Bluetooth, which could automatically fill a glass and serve you with a click from a mobile app, and a rescue drone. The hexacopter, with a 12-inch propeller capable of lifting up to 2 kg, was designed to locate victims and send GPS coordinates to rescuers, speeding up rescue operations.

My enthusiasm for technology extends beyond robotics. I’m also deeply interested in programming software systems and enjoy sharing my knowledge with classmates. Helping them with programming challenges has become a rewarding experience, often met with food as a gesture of their gratitude.

Initially, I lacked knowledge in web development during college. However, starting my career as a web developer became a crucial stepping stone. It allowed me to hone my skills and sparked a love for web development, which I pursued through self-study.

Creating web systems has become a source of great enjoyment for me. The challenges they present keep me engaged, and I thrive on the opportunity for continuous learning and improvement. Each project is a chance to push my boundaries and innovate in meaningful ways.
